Constance "Connie" Sharon ((nee Koshinsky)) Paetsch

After a short and courageous battle with cancer the family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Constance “Connie” Sharon (nee Koshinsky) Patesch 71 years of Jansen at Lanigan Integrated Hospital on Monday, July 10, 2017.  Connie was born in Wynyard to Reinhold and Clara (nee Lissel) Koshinsky on December 26, 1945.   At the age of five her family moved from Jansen to Wynyard where she obtained all of her education. She then went to Winnipeg, MB and graduated with a secretarial diploma. Connie then moved to Regina and worked for The        Co-operators and later for the RBC.  Her main love and focus was her family and thoroughly enjoyed domestic duties and providing a comforting and loving home for her family. In 1990 through family she met her future husband and companion Lorne Paetsch. This union brought her back to Jansen and she helped Lorne run his grocery store. Ironically her father owned a grocery store in Jansen until she was five.  The move back to Jansen brought Connie much peace and happiness.  She was very active in the community and spent hours volunteering on boards. Connie’s passion was to develop the Community Garden and she also had a passion for the Kinettes. Her meticulously manicure lily garden was the talk of the town she had an array of colors and types of lilies.  In the fall of 2016 she graciously divided up many of her lilies and shared a root with almost everyone in Jansen.  Family was always first with Connie and her grandchildren were her life.  She made sure everyone was treated equally especially with their blended family.  Connie loved to have a good time and spent many fun times having coffee with her girlfriends. Connie and Lorne were fortunate to travel to many hot destinations in their 26 years together.   They also love to dance and attended many dances in the area.  Unfortunately due to her illness she was unable to enjoy a spring of gardening this year.  Connie’s friendly, loving and caring personality will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of 26 years Lorne Paetsch of Jansen.  Her two sons: Sheldon Bjornson of Mozart and Kirk (Desiree) Bjornson and children Jakob and Olivia; and daughter Leigh-Ann (Dan) Moroz of Calgary and son Mitchell. Connie was predeceased by her parents Reinhold and Clara Koshinsky and brother and sister-in-law Dennis (Linda) Koshinsky.   A Funeral Service was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Jansen on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.  Interment followed at Jansen Community Cemetery.  Memorial donations in Connie’s memory may be directed to Jansen Community Cemetery Jansen, SK.
