Margaret Bugyi

Margaret Bugyi (nee Benko), age 101 years, passed away peacefully at Silver Heights Care Home, Raymore, with her family by her side.  Margaret was born on July 25, 1915 in the Arbury district, SK to Martin and Mary (nee Domokos) Benko.  She grew up on the family farm and attended Kutawa School.  Margaret married Daniel Bugyi and they homesteaded in Arbour Vital, ON before returning to Saskatchewan.  They lived in Punnichy while farming in the Wishart district.  For the last several years, Margaret had been a resident at Silver Heights in Raymore.  She will be lovingly remembered by two daughters, Irene (Roy) Dodd and Helen (Andy) Hordos; daughter-in-law Doreen Bugyi; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  Margaret was predeceased by her parents Martin and Mary Benko; husband Daniel Bugyi; son Dan Bugyi; grandchild Kim; and all fifteen of her siblings.  The Funeral Mass for Margaret was held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish, Raymore.  Interment followed in the Punnichy Cemetery.  Memorial donations in Margaret’s memory may be made to Silver Heights Care Home or a charity of your choice.
