Ken & I were best friends when we were kids. We lived across the street from one another on Geneva St. in St. Catharines. We played sports together and when we played hockey his older brothers would put him net. After he got his goalie pads he was even better! We had a lot of fun growing up together. He made friends easily and everyone should have a friend like Ken. To the entire family I am so sorry for your loss. Mark

We just saw the posting of Ken's passing from Helen and are truly saddened. The Ruthven family grew up in the same neighbourhood as we did in St. Catharines (my brother was Bill Blank - who passed away in 1990). 'Kenny' was a nice 'kid' and grew up to be a 'nice man'. I can't tell you how sorry I am for the entire family. 'Gone too soon. Our sympathy to the entire family. Katherine
