It is with sadness that the family of Linda Labre (nee Zubot), 59 years of Humboldt, announce her passing on Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. Linda was born in Humboldt on April 6, 1960 to Joseph and Margaret (nee Hemm) Zubot. She grew up in Humboldt and attended school there. She lived and worked in various places but always seemed to make her way back home to the Humboldt area. When her children were young, she obtained her GED and then took a special care aide course. She worked some for Home Care and also did private care in people’s homes for a time. Over the years, she also worked as a waitress in different restaurants. Linda was a very social person who loved visiting and having fun with her friends. She was a selfless person, often giving to others even when she didn’t have much to give. Linda was an animal lover, having many pets over the years. In the last few years, she enjoyed gardening and working in her yard. Above all, Linda loved being a grandma and spending time with her two grandchildren as well as her many nieces and nephews. Linda will be lovingly remembered by her two children and two grandchildren: Jamie Labre of Saskatoon and Becky (James) Grad and children Payton and Jack of Weyburn; her mother Margaret Schneider of Wakaw; brothers and sister: Clifford Zubot of Middle Lake, Lloyd (Holly) Schneider of Humboldt, Ian Schneider of Saskatoon and Michelle Schneider (Randy Molyneaux) of Canora; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her father, Joseph Zubot; step-father, Eldon Schneider; and the love of her life, Larry Duncan. A funeral service has been held. Memorial donations in Linda's memory may be made to the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation - Mental Health and Addictions Fund.
