Mom was born on the family farm in the Sunset Lake District North of Quill Lake, Saskatchewan on August 25, 1932. She was the middle child of John and Anna Schryvers. She passed away peacefully in Saskatoon on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. Mom was predeceased by her husband Bob and her parents.
Upon completing her schooling at Valley Plain, she attended Bruno Ursuline Academy and Sion Academy in Saskatoon. Then off to Normal School to obtain her teacher’s certificate.  Mom began her teaching career in local one room country schools. She substitute taught in the local school unit for many years before teaching full time in Quill Lake. Throughout those years, Mom took many correspondence classes along with night classes at St Peter’s College in Muenster, and finally finishing off her Bachelor of Education at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon and proudly convocated in 1978.
Mom and Dad settled in the Scrip district where they built a home and began their life together expanding their family, farm, and livestock herd.

As time passed, Mom and Dad enjoyed travels throughout North America, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, along with many cruises throughout the Caribbean, Panama, and Alaska.  They also enjoyed their many Saskatchewan trips with family and friends, and just seeing the countryside.  Many of these travels resulted in return visits from friends and family from afar which was always a highlight.
