Ann was born on October 30, 1925, to Frank and Barbara (nee Braun) Prodahl of Lake Lenore, SK. She was one of ten children. She grew up in Lake Lenore where she obtained her education.

On October 8, 1945 Ann married Clarence Ehalt and moved to Annaheim.  They were blessed with three sons and one daughter.  Together they built a mixed farm of grain, chickens, a couple dairy cows, & hogs.  Ann was especially fond of caring for her chickens.  Ann was a devoted homemaker who loved to garden, sell eggs and cream to help the family.  She also enjoyed playing piano, organ, accordion, and singing with Clarence.  Ann’s life was tragically changed when Clarence died in a crash in 1967 at a very young age.

In April 1968, Ann married Arnold Dauk, and continued to live in Annaheim. Together, they enjoyed their life with their families and being active in the community until Arnolds passing in 1983.

In 1984 Ann married Francis Doepker, and together they later retired to Humboldt. They enjoyed 16 years together traveling and visiting many casinos and bingo halls along the way. They worked well together and had many projects on the go such as woodworking and quilting. Much of their time quilting was for their children and grandchildren. Ann loved to bake, cook, and was known for her canning and preserves, especially her strawberry jam and canned fruits. You could always find them with family or friends at the kitchen table playing Kaiser, Canasta, Up and Down the River or Buck. Ann’s signature card snap and flick of the wrist with her sassy comment “Fine, just take it then”, would become a familiar reaction of hers for years to come. There was never a dull moment for them, they were always on the go. Just “living life” as they would say. Both large extended families kept them busy with activities. Francis passed away in December of 2000. Ann then remained in Humboldt until her passing.

Ann will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her four children, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
