It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bella Thiemann, 89 years of Humboldt, SK, at St. Mary’s Villa on Monday, January 17, 2022. Bella was born January 3, 1933 to Harry and Lena (nee Lucyk) Bloski at Hazel Dell, SK. She attended Chelan School in Chelan, SK until 1950, when she moved to Reynaud, SK with her parents and family. Between 1951-1954 she was employed at Daniel’s Dry Cleaners in Humboldt. On November 17, 1953, Bella married Edward Thiemann in St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church. Together they had 5 sons and 1 daughter. Bella was very active in the community – she was a member of the CWL, 4-H, V.O.N. Adult Day Program, helped at many funeral lunches, bowled on Tuesdays with the Ladies Bowling League, and volunteered with the Good Neighbour Store and Friends of the Museum. When she wasn’t volunteering or helping out, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending their activities, travelling, knitting, crocheting, embroidery, sewing, reading, and completing puzzles. Bella had several collections and kept them all very well organized; as well as many family photo albums which she treasured. She was also one of the founding members of The Ladies Living Alone Club. Bella will be deeply missed and forever loved by her three sons and their wives, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren: Ken (Judy) of Morinville, AB and their daughter Dawn (Kyle) Saunders of Cardiff, AB; Gilbert’s children: Blair (Jamie) and family Logan, Jesse and Koralyn, Jarid (Tamara) and her son Konner, and Shari, all of Humboldt; Bruce (Carol) of Humboldt and their family Blake of Saskatoon and Drew (Nicole) of Martensville; Russell (Val) of Humboldt and their family Brianna (Mark) Schwartz of Engelfeld, Tim (Katelynn) and children Noah and Karter of Saskatoon, and Brittany and her son Kaylex of Humboldt; Eric’s son Kyle (Marisa) and daughter Brynn of Saskatoon; daughter-in-law Yvonne (Luke) Doepker and children Justin and Brody of Saskatoon; sister Ann Tywoniuk of Edmonton, AB; brothers Joe (Marianne) Bloski of Saskatoon, Dave (Donna) Bloski of Spruce Grove, AB, and Marvin (Carol) Bloski of Edmonton, AB; in-laws: Ag Hilgers of Saskatoon; Sylvia & Bert Thiemann of Humboldt; Joan & Ron Schreiner of Humboldt; and Clarence Knaus of Sinnet, SK; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Bella was predeceased by three children Beverly (1975), Eric (1991), and Gilbert (2003); father of her children Edward Thiemann; parents Harry & Lena Bloski; brothers Ralph & Walter, both in infancy; parents-in-law Paul & Clara Thiemann; and by numerous sisters-and-brothers-in-law. The Funeral Mass for Bella was held on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt. Interment followed in the St. Augustine Roman Catholic Cemetery.
