Bobby-Lou (Cooper) Hiebert

Born and raised in Ontario, Bobby-Lou spent her formative years there getting her education. It was during her high school days that she met the love of her life, Ken Hiebert. The high school sweethearts married and began their family together in Ontario, welcoming their first two children, Kenny and Charlene.        

Adventure eventually drew the young family west to Alberta, where they completed their family with the birth of Jason. While living in Alberta, Bobby-Lou dedicated her working years to caring for others at the Wheatland Lodge, where her warmth and compassion brought immense comfort to local seniors. She was an active member of her community, finding joy and friendship on the softball field, the dart club, and during lively bingo nights. Bobby-Lou was also a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Canadian Royal Purple.  

In 2011, Bobby-Lou and Ken moved to Saskatchewan to begin their next chapter. She filled her days with the simple pleasures of life: baking delicious cookies, knitting cozy blankets during the winter months, taking long car rides, and solving crossword puzzles. Some of her family’s fondest memories will be of her sitting by a roaring campfire, happily eating burnt hot dogs and completely blackened marshmallows.           

Throughout her life, and even following a diagnosis of advanced cancer, she possessed the rare and beautiful gift of optimism. No matter the hurdle, she genuinely believed everything was “great”, lifting the spirits of everyone around her. Her resilient joy and unwavering positivity remain her lasting legacy.               

Bobby-Lou is survived by her children, Kenny (Carolanne), Charlene (Darren), and Jason (Tina); her grandchildren, Jordan, Madison, Riley (Amy), Caitlin (Darcy), Curtis, and Jayla; her great grandchildren, Kashton, Aleigha, and Zaylee; her siblings, Danny (Joanne), Cindy (Len), and Randy (Leona); and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Bobby-Lou was predeceased in death by her husband Ken; her parents, John and Betty; her brother, Mike; and her sister-in-law, Linda.  

As per Bobby-Lou’s wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers or donations, enjoy time with family or friends and eat a burnt hotdog or marshmallow around the campfire.
