The peaceful passing of Brendan Joseph Christopher Corrigan, 77 years, of Humboldt occurred on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Humboldt District Hospital surrounded by his family. Brendan was born on October 1, 1946 in Colinet, Newfoundland to John and Alice (nee Byrne) Corrigan. Brendan worked at various jobs and owned several businesses between Newfoundland and Alberta. The last several years he resided in Humboldt with his granddaughter Brittany. Brendan was a lover of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping and camping were among the list of his favourite things to do. He enjoyed playing cards with his family, 2500 or challenging them to games of crib, where sometimes there was creative counting taking place. He had a very outgoing personality, making friends wherever he went. The employees at the local coffee shops in the communities he lived knew him by name and were always happy to see him. His sense of humor was one of a kind and will live on through his children and grandchildren. He loved his family, was always up for a visit and if they were further away, he would be sure to give them a call.
Brendan will be lovingly remembered by his children: Brendan II (Clara), Lisa (Nilesh), Rodney (Dana), Lena (Owen), Travis (Jessica), and Melodie; step son Darcy (Jen); son-in-law Christopher; mother of Travis, Lena, Darcy and Audie: Rose Morin; grandchildren: Amanda (Alex), Jessica, Vanessa (Tate), Brittany (Dorian), Brendan (Brooke), Kaylee, Kaitlynn (Michael), Brendan III (Aleese), Kassidy, Chayse, Kyle, Paige, Addison, Malia, Taylor, Kodyn, Autumn, Luke, Storm, Arielle, Ethan, Jenna, Brandon, Jadon, Kegan, Dreydon, Jaylynne and Angel; great grandchildren: Kaiden, Davin, Isaac, Keely and Michael; siblings: Gloria, Patsy (Paddy), Harold (Joyce), Gerald (Linda), Leonard (Shirley), and Joe; sisters-in-law Lorraine and Gen; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Brendan was predeceased by his parents John and Alice Corrigan; wife Meta Corrigan; step son Audie; grandson Kody; brothers: Fergus, Kevin, Jim, John, Bill and Albert; sisters: Mary, Kay and Sarah; brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Vince, Ron, Keith, Fred, Billy, Jose, Juanita, and Mary.
