Donna May Christianson

It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Donna Christianson on March 3, 2023 in Watson, SK.

Donna was born on July 29, 1962 to Orville and Dorothy (nee Holter) Christianson in Rose Valley, SK and raised in nearby Archerwill. She attended school in Archerwill until Grade 10 and graduated from Rose Valley school.  She was a long term employee with SLGA, working as a part time employee for many years, closing her career as Manager in Wadena. She was a dedicated union member honored with becoming a Life Member in 2018. She also dedicated many hours over the years volunteering in the Watson community. Retirement allowed Donna to focus on her various interests including quilting, gardening, DIY projects, cooking and traveling. She loved to spend time with her family, friends and her grandkids (by whom she affectionately became known as Malla).

Malla will be lovingly remembered by her children; Christa (and children Presley and Nolan), Kevin (and children Peyton and Emma) and Ryan (fur child Karl). She is also survived by her brother Duane (Mavis), brother Larry (Bettyann), sister Elaine (Barry), sister in law Delia, brother Arlen (Myrna) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her parents Orville and Dorothy (Holter) Christianson, her brother Ken Christianson and her life partner Paul.

In keeping with Malla’s wishes there will be no funeral service.  A private family interment will follow at a later date.  Memorial donations in Donna’s memory may be directed to Ronald McDonald House Canada or a charity of choice.
