Earl Rolland Rohne passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, aged 83 years, at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt. A brother, uncle, and friend.
Earl was born June 19, 1942 in Rose Valley to Eloi “Sunny” and Doris (Dewhurst) Rohne. In his early years, he worked at Midwest Drilling for 25+ years. Although he had no children of his own, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He loved to help anyone who needed a hand and giving back to the community, such as becoming a volunteer firefighter. Earl loved the simple pleasures of life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, puzzles, and playing cards with his friends at the senior centre. He had an appreciation of collector cars and loved his 1967 Ford.
Earl is survived by his brothers David (Louise) and Larry; sister Judy; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Eloi “Sunny” and Doris. A special thank you to Lori and Rick Rohne and Marlene and Curtis Lozinski, who went above and beyond to care for Earl. Also thank you to the staff at The Elizabeth and Humboldt District Hospital for their loving care during his stay there.
A Funeral Service was held on Friday, October 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from Malinoski & Danyluik Funeral Home & Crematorium, Humboldt, led by Funeral Celebrant Debbie Sarauer. Interment will follow on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Dahlton Lutheran Cemetery, Archerwill District. Memorial donations may be directed to Humboldt District Health Foundation: General Equipment Fund.
