Amelia “Emily” Frank (nee Jaeb) passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at her residence Aspen Manor, Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake. Emily was born on February 9, 1916 at Willmont, SK to Frank and Josephine (nee Bartle) Jaeb. She grew up on the family farm attending the local country school. On August 12, 1940, Emily married Joseph Frank. The lived near Murphy Lake for a time and then moved to a farm near Pilger. Emily worked side by side on the farm with Joseph, while also growing a large garden and taking care of their household. Together they raised a family of four daughters. In 1967, they moved in to Humboldt. Emily did lots of sewing and enjoyed embroidery and quilting. She was quite musical and loved singing. As her family grew, she enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. For the past 10 ½ years, she has made her home at Bethany Pioneer Village, first as a resident of Birch Manor and then Aspen Manor. Emily will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters: Marci (Fabian) Paydli, Dolores (David) Hauber, and Colette (Patrick) Miller; son-in-law Wayne (Marlene) Kalthoff ; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Joe Frank; daughter Caroline Kalthoff; her parents and all of her siblings. The Funeral Mass for Emily was held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church, Humboldt, celebrated by Fr. Prosper Abotsi. Interment followed in St. Augustine Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations in Emily’s name may be made to Bethany Pioneer Village (For Aspen and Birch Manor), Box 8 Middle Lake, SK S0K 2X0.
