Ervin James Credgeur was born on October 22, 1939 on the family farm at Viscount, Saskatchewan. He passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026 at age 86. He was the third child of James and Catherine Credgeur. Ervin attended Golden Hill School, where he either walked or rode the horses. He left school early to help on the farm after his father passed away. He loved the farm life, especially the horses. He worked at a few jobs, but his greatest joy was the farm. He remained on the farm until his health declined. He then moved into town in Viscount. There he made more friends and worked on his house, finishing the basement and building a large deck. Ervin also loved to make friends with the town cats, that would visit waiting for him to feed them. When the time came that he was unable to be alone, he went to Quill Plains Centennial Lodge in Watson, Saskatchewan. He was quite comfortable there. The staff was always very good with him. He would tease them and they would tease him back. He was easy to look after and never complained.
Ervin was predeceased by his parents James and Catherine, two sisters Deloris Sutherland and Irene Giddings, brothers-in-law Robert Wilson and Jim Lees, niece Kathy Turnbull and nephew Robert Giddings. Ervin is survived by his two sisters: Margaret Lees of Humboldt and Florence (Luther) Gray of Saskatoon; brother Dennis (Leona) Credgeur of Plunkett; two brothers-in-law Stan Giddings and Ken Sutherland; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will take place at St. Alphonse Catholic Cemetery, Viscount, SK. Memorial donations in memory of Ervin can be directed to Quill Plains Healthcare Foundation (Box 277, Watson, SK, S0K 4V0).
