Gloria Alfreida Nyuli

The peaceful passing of Gloria Alfreida Nyuli, 74 years, of Rosthern occurred on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at St. Paul’s Hospital Saskatoon. Gloria was born on September 26, 1948 to Julius and Elizabeth (nee Bertow) Nyuli in Cudworth.  Until the age of six the family lived on the farm then moved into the town St. Benedict.  She was the first of three children and the only daughter to be born to Julius and Elizabeth.  Gloria obtained her education at St. Benedict until grade seven, then due to her illness she was unable to attend school.  She helped at home working beside her mother doing domestic duties where she really enjoyed helping with the laundry.   Gloria was very fond of cats and had many kittens and mature cats around her constantly.  She looked after them very well and loved playing with them.   She was very active at the Middle Lake Gospel Church helping where and when she could.  Gloria was a good aunt to her nieces and nephews and spent quality time with them.  Following her mother’s death, Gloria lived with Bill and Doreen, she enjoyed her time with them.  Later, when more care was needed, Gloria moved to the Mennonite Nursing Home in Rosthern where she resided until her passing.  Her favorite pastime was drinking coffee, she thoroughly enjoyed a good cup of coffee.  Gloria will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two brothers, six nieces and nephews and by 10 great nieces and nephews: BILL and Doreen Nyuli and family Kurt Nyuli of Saskatoon, Mark (Candace) Nyuli and their children Ethan, Katelyn, Samantha, Matthew and Heidi all of St. Benedict and Dean Nyuli of Humboldt and children Farrah and Keagan; and DENNIS Nyuli and family Kelly (Tammy) Nyuli, Tracy (Frank) Carpentieri and daughter Juliet, and Sarah (Lorre) Ethier and children Alex and Avery all of St. Benedict. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from Middle Lake Gospel Church Middle Lake officiated by Pastor Ryan Schnee.  Interment followed at the Middle Lake Gospel Cemetery Middle Lake.  Memorial donations in Gloria’s memory may be directed to Mennonite Nursing Home Box 370 Rosthern, SK S0K 3R0.
