Greg was born and raised on the lower mainland of BC. He was predeceased by his parents Terry and Merrily Monks. He is survived by his sisters Teresa, Siobahn, and Catherine; brothers Paul, Sean, Kevin, and Darren; and step-mother Margaret Monks.
He moved to Spalding twenty years ago and enjoyed living in his house with his 'furry wonders'. Greg wrote at least two novels and composed music. He enjoyed a cup of coffee with friends and a good 'jaw' with his cup of 'joe'. He did many things in life from playing in his high school band, working at McDonalds, welding, and driving forklift, to working in the BC fishing industry.
Greg passed on August 23, 2025, at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon after a year long battle with cancer. He fought hard to remain with us and will be greatly missed.
No services will be held at this time.
