Horst Helmut Laskowski

It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Horst Helmut Laskowski, aged 89 years of Allan, SK, on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Royal University Hospital, Saskatoon. Horst Helmut Laskowski was born on July 6th, 1930 in Goldap, Germany. He came to Canada in 1953 to join his best friend Gerhard Vogt. They ended up in Regina, SK and began working at the RCMP together in the plumbing and maintenance department. There he met Monika Glaser, also originally from Germany, and they married in 1966. Horst and Monika moved to Allan, SK, where Horst worked as a Stationary Engineer at the Allan Potash Mine until his retirement. Horst will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Monika; his children Corina (Stan) Holmes, Angela (Roger) LaRochelle, and Robin (Anita) Laskowski; his grandchildren Jason LaRochelle (Meghan Nixey), Kelsey LaRochelle (Ian Johnson), and Ethan and Matthew Laskowski; and great grandson Owen Johnson. The family would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and support staff who aided in the care of our loved one.

A Celebration of Life/Come & Go Tea was held at Parkland Hall, Allan, SK on Saturday, August 14, 2021, from 1-3 PM.
