Irene Joanne (Torwalt) Friesen

The family would like to announce the passing of Irene Friesen, age 70, on April 15, 2021 at the Central Parkland Lodge in Lanigan.

Irene is survived by her husband WILLIE Friesen, 2 children and 2 grandsons:

Jeremy (Deanna) and children Tyler & Derek; and Vanessa; she is also survived by her siblings Minnie, Abby, Jean, Ervin, Janet, and Florence; & sister-in-law Helen.

She is predeceased her parents August & Emilie; siblings Bill, Louis, & Lorna; parents-in-law Jake and Frieda; and brother-in-law Glen.

A Graveside Service for Irene and her sister Lorna Jordan was held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the Jansen Cemetery.  Lorna's interment took place at 1:00 p.m. and Irene's at 2:00 p.m.  A time of fellowship followed the interment at the LeRoy Senior Center.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Irene’s memory may be  directed to STARS Foundation.
