Jayda Hoppe Obituary

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our angel Jayda Kerry Hoppe on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the tender age of 14.

Jayda was born on October 18, 2005 in R.U.H. in Saskatoon and was brought home to Humboldt where she blessed our lives with her huge smile and her love for all.

She attended St. Augustine School in Humboldt for her elementary education where she was blessed to have her mom as a teacher and coach. Jayda spent her Grade 9 year at H.C.I. and had the best year of her life.

Jayda had a typical relationship with her brothers, and they say she was the best sister ever. They both loved her so much.

Her cousins adored her as did the littles in her life. Her friends were no exception.

Jayda's love of sports was very evident as she excelled in everything she tried.  She loved swimming, camping, surfing, softball, quading, snowboarding, skiing, dancing, snowmobiling but she hated basketball. She was honoured to be this year's recipient of the Jr. Girls Volleyball Athlete of the Year.

Jayda was her Momma’s baby girl and her Daddy’s Peach.

She will be lovingly remembered by her parents Blair and Kerry; brothers, Ben & Jake; paternal grandparents, Gary and Shelley Hoppe, maternal grandparents, Wally and Lynne Brecht,  Doug and Terry-Lynn Nasipayko; uncles, aunts and cousins; Aaron Nasipayko (Elijah and Leila); Jesse and Jorges Langevin (Nova and Tryton);  Kyla Rae and George Therres (Kyra and Tyson); Ryan and Phuong Brecht (Kingston and Raiden); Mitch and Kara Brecht (Porter and Harrison); great grandparents; Albert and Alma Hoppe, Bernie and Gwen Saret, and numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins. She was pre-deceased by great grandparents Arthur and Annette Meyer, Bill and Margaret Brecht, Nora and Aaron Nasipayko, and her uncles David Saret and Terry Nasipayko.

A Funeral Service was held at Mount Carmel, SK on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 10 a.m. officiated by Fr. Joseph Salihu and Pastor Sean Brandow.

Memorial Donations in Jayda’s memory may be made to Humboldt Girls Softball Association, Box 222, Muenster, SK, S0K 2Y0, ATTN: Chris Stadnyk.
