It is with great sadness the family of Jerry Müller announces his passing on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from complications due to the myelofibrosis blood cancer which he was diagnosed with in November 2017. Jerry was born to Hans and Elsie Muller in Hodgeville, SK on October 31, 1961. Jerry grew up on the farm in Kelstern, SK. He committed his life to Jesus at the young age of nine. He attended school in Hodgeville, SK until the passing of his father in 1975. From there, Jerry and his family moved to Caronport, SK in 1976, where he finished highschool, and got his degree in Biblical Studies at Briercrest College & Seminary in 1982. On June 9th, 1990, Jerry married the love of his life, Shirley Healey, in Moose Jaw Alliance Church. Jerry and Shirley welcomed their first son, Joshua, into the world in 1992 and their second son, Stephen, in 1994. Jerry studied Electrical Engineering Technology at SIAST in Moose Jaw, where he graduated with honors in June, 1994. Over the following years, Jerry and his family lived and worked in several communities including Cowley, AB; Saskatoon, SK; and Martensville, SK. They moved to Hudson Bay, SK in the year 2000, and moved to Lanigan, SK in 2008, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Jerry had many passions. He was always learning and mastering new things. He especially loved carpentry/woodworking, cooking, gardening, and outdoor activities like golfing and fishing. He had a passion for missions, having gone to Haiti in 1989 to help with construction of several buildings for local ministries there. Most of all, though, he loved Jesus and he loved his family. Jerry will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 31 years Shirley Müller, his sons Joshua Müller and Stephen Müller; his three sisters: Brenda (Ruben) Bushman, Guernsey, SK; Darlene (Ken) Kruger, Saskatoon, SK; and Marilyn Muller, Moose Jaw, SK; his brothers-and-sisters-in-law: Yvonne (Harry) Spies, Calgary, AB; Cyril (Lydia) Healey, Trochu, AB; Glenna (Larry) Ruten, Spalding, SK; John (Connie) Healey, Calgary, AB; Blaine (Karen) Healey, Swan River, MB; Garth (Robynne) Healey, Chilliwack, BC; Audrey (Harvey) Dyck, Winnipeg, MB; Judith (Levern) Larson, Kipling, SK; Patricia (Darrel) Teichrib, Gladstone, MB; and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was predeceased by his parents Hans Muller (1975) and Elsie Muller (2013), his in-laws Mel “Jude” Healey (2000) and Catherine Healey (2017), and his nephew Matthew Teichrib (2016). A Memorial Service for Jerry was held on Friday, January 7th, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Lanigan Community Hall, officiated by Michael Pedersen, pastor of Fountain of Life Church.
