Joanne Mary Wild

Joanne Mary Wild passed away on November 10th, 2023 at St. Mary’s Villa in Humboldt, SK. She was born on October 12th, 1961, was the youngest of the Wild family with parents Leo and Lucille (nee Brisebois) Wild. Joanne was a loving mother to her 3 children and a grandmother to her twin granddaughters. She lived in Lanigan, SK for 23 years and was mostly known from working at the Shop Easy, the pharmacy, and was a big member of the community in Lanigan. She enjoyed being a part of the CWL at St. Mary’s Church and loved volunteering at many functions throughout the years in town.   

Joanne is predeceased by her father Leo. Joanne is survived by her partner Lee, mother Lucille, sister Rosealie (Ron), brothers Ted (Debbie) and Dwight (Joanne); her children; Nicole, Daniel, and Mariann; grandchildren Cheyenne and Brielle; as well as many nieces and nephews.     

A special thanks to the staff and care from Humboldt District Hospital and St. Mary’s Villa for the wonderful care and amazing friendship to our mother. We’ll never forget the kindness and generosity.      

A Funeral Mass for Joanne was held on Friday, November 24, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lanigan, celebrated by Fr. Augustine Osei-Bonsu. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Lanigan. Memorial donations in Joanne’s memory may be directed to Diabetes Canada (www.diabetes.ca).
