SULLY, KATHERINE DANA

August 28, 1994 – July 12, 2023

With profound sadness, the family announces the unexpected passing of Katherine Dana Sully, age 28, on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. Katy was born August 28, 1994, in Yorkton, SK, to parents Arnold and Carla (nee Nesbitt) Sully. At a young age, she moved with her family to Bruno, where she went to school from K-12. Katy attended the University of Saskatchewan, graduating with a degree in English and proceeded to complete an additional degree in Education. She worked at Kids' Stop daycare located in Okotoks, AB. Katy enjoyed puzzles, Rubik's Cubes, good jokes, music and singing. She loved the outdoors and spending time in nature with her partner Brett Clark and their dog Tina. Together they went fishing, camping, hiking, rollerblading and participated in jiu-jitsu. One of her favourite places to be in Saskatchewan was St. Peter’s College in Muenster, where she would feed the chickadees and nuthatches by hand. Fall was Katy’s favourite season, and she thoroughly enjoyed celebrating Halloween and watching horror films. She was fearless, adventurous and loved living her life to the fullest. Above all, she loved her family and friends and spending time with them. Katy will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her parents, Arnold Sully and Carla Sully; her siblings: Meagan Sommer, Brittney and Shayne Nordick, Joel Sully and Kelsey Sully; four nephews: Mason Sommer, Blake Sommer, Eli Nordick and Gavin Nordick; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Katy was predeceased by her grandparents Bruce and Marvel Sully and Bennie and Gladys Nesbitt. A Graveside Service was held at Humboldt Public Cemetery on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m., presided by Bev Trach. Memorial donations in Katy’s memory can be made to Henry Lucas  Benevolent Fund, to help a local family needing assistance with medical expenses.
