Kenneth Klassen Obituary

Ken Klassen was a good man. Hardworking and dedicated to doing his job well. Ken loved people and made friends wherever he went. Ken would take the time to visit at the job site or the hardware store or anywhere you would bump into him. I knew when Ken was late, he was having a good visit somewhere. In between his years of drywalling, Ken spent several years Pastoring. This is where Ken's love for people shone through. Visiting with people and hospitality was a priority. As a child, Ken remembered many Sundays his Mom, Ruth would have something in the oven ready for them to invite either missionaries, or different guests into their home where they enjoyed the stories and lively conversations. This had a huge impact on his life. Ken was also a gifted speaker and teacher. He enjoyed seeing the light in someone's eyes with understanding of God's truth. In the end, even when Ken was in so much pain, he still took the time to listen to people and encourage them by speaking blessing into their life. Ken is loved and so missed. Ken is survived by his beloved wife Leona and their children, Timothy, Hannah (Kellen), Nathanael and Joel; grandchildren Michael and Matthew; siblings Brian (Wendy), Shelly (Jeff) and Brenda; his Dad Arthur Klassen (Pearl); and nephews Macklin and Miller. Those who were waiting to welcome Ken in Heaven are his mom Ruth Klassen, son Mark David and baby Klassen. In the end the cancer may have taken his body but could never touch his soul, Ken arose in victory to be with his Lord Jesus in Heaven.
