It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of Kevin Holt.
Kevin Holt, husband, father, brother ,and papa, passed away on December 27, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born on December 25, 1963, Kevin led a life filled with various occupations and cherished moments.
After attending Quill Lake School, Kevin embarked on a career in the oil industry, working on rigs and taking on numerous jobs. On July 5, 1986, he married Cathy Franko, and together they built a beautiful family. From their union, they were blessed with three children: Nadine, Jenna, and Curtis.
For many years, Kevin and Cathy farmed alongside Kevin's father, Roy, until his passing. Kevin's dedication extended beyond farming, as he also drove a school bus for Horizon School Division for 22 years and raised cattle. In 2011, Kevin and Cathy made the decision to sell their land and acreage, moving to Spalding.
In Spalding, Kevin continued to work diligently, taking on positions with Eugene Eggerman and the Department of Highways. However, in 2020, Kevin faced a difficult battle with esophageal cancer.
Kevin will be remembered for his unwavering spirit. His legacy will live on through the memories shared by those who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his three children, Nadine Prevost, Jenna Holt , and Curtis Holt and their families . He is also survived by his siblings Kelly Quessy and Rocky Holt, who will cherish his memory. Kevin was preceded by death of his parents, Roy and Bonnie Holt.
During this time, his family is grateful for the support and condolences from friends, family, and loved ones. Their kind words and gestures provide comfort and strength as his family navigate through the grief together.
