With heavy hearts, the family of Larry Robert Reinhardt, announce his sudden passing on March 25, 2023. He was loved and cherished by his family and friends and all who knew him and will be sadly missed. Larry was born on May 16, 1945 in Saskatoon to Ewalt and Ella (nee Renz) Reinhardt. The family lived in Asquith and moved to the LeRoy/Jansen area when he was a young child. He attended Illinois School for grades 1 – 9 and then took his high school in LeRoy. Larry furthered his education at the University of Saskatchewan in the College of Education. On August 17, 1968, Larry married Sandra Smith. The newly married couple moved to Ituna where he had accepted his first teaching job. He remained there for 6 years and then moved to Biggar where he taught for 25 years, until his retirement in 1999. He continued to sub for several years following his retirement. He was committed to his students and coached many players in various sports over the years including football, curling, badminton, and basketball. In 2007, Larry and Sandra moved to Watson to be closer to family. They owned a cabin at Fishing Lake for 40 years and spent many summer days there, relaxing, golfing, and fishing. He enjoyed hunting in his younger years as well as playing many sports himself. He was actively involved in the communities they lived in, serving on boards and volunteering where needed. Larry enjoyed spending time at the New Horizon’s Senior Center in Watson, playing pool and crib, and in the summer his days were spent on the golf course. He loved to read, watch SciFi shows on TV, and cheer on the Toronto Blue Jays and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Reinhardt of Watson and their children Dennis Reinhardt of Turtleford and Sheri Reinhardt of Pierceland; his brothers and sister: Garry (Peggy) Reinhardt of Prince Albert, Janet (Bill) Headrick of Candle Lake, and Dan (Vaudree) Reinhardt of Saskatoon; and by Sandra’s family: David Smith of Red Deer, AB, Cathy (George) Gresty of Saskatoon, and Darcy (Sharlene) Smith of Edmonton, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
