Linda Emma (Paydli) Kiefer

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Emma (nee Paydli) Kiefer 64 years of Humboldt passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Humboldt District Hospital on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.   Linda was born November 6, 1954 to Joseph and Isabelle (nee Lang) Paydli in Humboldt, SK. She was raised and educated in Humboldt. Linda had a few jobs in her life but the career that meant the most to her was her position in the St. Mary’s Villa as a Dietary Aide. A position she held for 10 years.  In 2000 Linda began dating Ralph Kiefer, and on December 31, 2004 they were married. Linda and Ralph began their married life on Ralph’s farm in St. Gregor, where she became a work mom to many. They lived and worked on the farm until, with great    excitement from Linda, they moved to Humboldt in June of 2018. Linda had an incredible sense of humor and loved to tease people but she always put others before herself. She enjoyed volunteering in her community. She was involved in the St. Gregor Community Club, Humboldt Vintage Club, and many fundraisers in both communities. Her volunteering was benefitted by her ability to make friends with anyone.  Linda was also an excellent cook and anyone who entered her house never left hungry. Besides volunteering, she loved to shop, always looking for the best deals. She loved spending quality time with Ralph; together they travelled to many places, including Hawaii, Cuba, Mexico, and a Panama cruise. They also took many road trips together. It was not unusual to take a Sunday drive up to five hours away. Linda and Ralph also had season tickets to the Broncos and would go every chance they could. Linda’s greatest joy in life was being a grandma. She took great pride in her family and spent as much time with them as she could.  Linda will be lovingly remember and sadly missed by her husband of fifteen years Ralph, her two children and four grandchildren: Natasha (Doyle Dosch) Thacker and children Dane and Kade of Moseley, SK; Mathew (Shalane) Thacker and children Michaela and Daxen of Warmen, SK; siblings Fabian (Marci) Paydli, Eyvette (Henry) Hauber, Marcel (Erna) Paydli, Glenda (Morris) Pidlisny, and Dorain Paydli; and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda was predeceased by her Parents Joseph and Isabelle Paydli; and sister-in-law Detti Paydli.   A Funeral Mass was held at St. Gregory R.C. Church in St. Gregor, SK on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 10:30 a.m., celebrated by Fr. Anthony Atter and con-celebrated by Fr. Daniel Muyres OSB. Interment followed at St. Gregory R.C. Cemetery.
