Raymond Fleischhacker Obituary

Ray was born January 22, 1928, to Martin and Mary (nee Schumacher) Fleischhacker on the family homestead in Fulda. He was the second oldest child of a family of five.

On July 29, 1952, he married Armella Greipl. They lived on the home farm in Fulda and later moved to a farm west of Marysburg. There he became an active member of the church and community. He served as a church trustee, a member of the parish council and was the president of the Marysburg Curling Club. He sang in the Marysburg Choir for 50 years. In 2004 they moved to Humboldt. For 23 years they wintered in Phoenix and Yuma, Arizona. Ray will be remembered for his caring nature and mischievous sense of humor. In 2017 Ray moved to Caleb Village. Ray enjoyed fishing, golfing, curling, and playing cards. He loved music and played his guitar until his passing.

We would like to thank the many good friends who stayed in contact with him over the past years. He treasured your calls and visits.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his three children, six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren;

ADELE (Harold) Witt and their family Rayanne (McLaren) Taylor and their children Coben and Sienna, Jared Witt and children Jaxen and Rio;

CRAIG (Cindy) Fleischhacker and their family Carleigh Fleischhacker and son Syd, Cohl (Shaynae) Fleischhacker and their children Jayde and Rylee;

DEAN (Michelle) Fleischhacker and their family Sam and Josh Fleischhacker.

Ray is also survived by is his sister Clara Bernhard, and brother Albert Fleischhacker (Linda Weber). Ray was predeceased by his wife Armella, his parents Martin and Mary Fleischhacker, brothers Leo (in infancy), George (Martha) Fleischhacker, and brother-in-law William Bernhard. Raymond passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 28, 2022.

A Private Funeral Service was held on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Memorial donations in Ray's memory may be directed to Humboldt District Hospital Foundation: General Fund.

 

Those special memories of you, will always bring a smile.

If only we could have you back, just for a little while.

Then we could sit and talk again, just like we used to do.

You always meant so very much to us, and always will too.

The fact that you’re no longer here, will always bring us pain.

You’re forever in our hearts, until we meet again.
