Robert "Bob" James Pitzel

The death of Mr. Robert “Bob” Pitzel, 71 years, of Humboldt occurred on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at Humboldt District Hospital.  Bob was born on April 29, 1948 in Humboldt to Leonard and Nell (nee Voorsmit) Pitzel.  He grew up in Humboldt and attained his schooling there.  Bob attended SAIT in Calgary for Fine Arts.  Upon completing his education, he returned to Humboldt where he opened Graphic Ad.  He owned and operated his business in Humboldt until his retirement in 2006.  Bob was a water color artist and loved spending time painting, in his home studio.   He was a lifetime member of Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers and was a business mentor through the Raj Manek Mentorship Program.  Bob will be lovingly remembered by his spouse Maureen Doetzel of Humboldt and his brother-in-law Larry Doetzel and Linda of Strasbourg, as well as many good friends.  He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Nell Pitzel and his parents-in-law Joe and Christine Doetzel.  A Private Graveside Service has taken place. A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Humboldt District Hospital Foundation Box 1740 Humboldt, SK S0K 2A0.
