It is with profound sadness, Robin Hector James Bowman passed away peacefully on May 10th, 2025, surrounded by his mother and a dear friend at St. Albert Hospital, AB.
He preferred to be called Rob. Rob was born on September 10th, 1980. He grew up in the Guernsey area, going to school in Guernsey and high school in Lanigan. Over the years playing hockey was always a very joyous adventure for him, as well as ball, soccer and other sports! When Rob wasn’t playing hockey, he was watching games on TV. The Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Rush games were attended as much as possible, and purchased caps & hoodies, etc.
Rob was ambitious and always had a job.
He had worked at Drake Meats while attending high school, mining up North for several years, Melron Services, Spray Foam business, Lloydminster Upgrader and then onto Semitrucks for oil/water as well as logging back up in the North.
Always loving the outdoors and the Northern areas!
Rob was a kind and respectful guy and had quite a sense of humour!
Rob attended Teen Challenge in SK & BC and Prairie Sky Recovery Center.
Rob was well loved and respected by the 12 step (AA) community. His smile lit up every room he walked into. His laugh was infectious and contagious. Rob loved his friends and looked out for them, making sure they were okay. Hiring them to help care for his beloved dog-Maverick, and clean his house when he knew that they were struggling money wise.
Rob will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed: by his mother, Isabel; sister Shana (Dwayne) nephews TJ, Tryce (Isabel, Kia), Treytan, Iker.
He will be greatly missed by his family & friends!
Predeceased by his father James Bowman, grandparents Clayton & Mabel Bowman and Harold & Grace Leggott.
A Private Family Service will be held.
