Rose-Marie Weiman (nee Hafner), 90 years, of St. Mary’s Villa, Humboldt and formerly of Bruno, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 12, 2025. Rose-Marie was born at Humboldt on September 14, 1935 to Joseph and Loretta (nee Krentz) Hafner. She attended Theil-Krentz School, walking with her siblings the two miles in nice weather and riding in the caboose in the winter. After completing Grade 8, she began working as a housekeeper at the Bruno Hotel. While at school Rose-Marie met Theodore (Ted) Weiman and they took a shine to each other. On September 9, 1953 the couple married and settled on the Weiman farm, which was just a short distance from Rose-Marie’s home. They worked side by side in a mixed farming operation. They were grain farmers, raised cattle and pigs, as well as a few chickens and milked cows. Ted and Rose-Marie raised three children – Pat, Kevin and Grant. They did a bit of travelling to British Columbia and Ontario to visit family and friends. They also enjoyed dancing, fishing and getting together with friends for a friendly card game on cold winter nights. Ted and Rose-Marie resided on the farm until 1974 when they purchased a house in Bruno which became their new home. They then travelled to the all popular destinations of Las Vegas and Hawaii. Unfortunately, their time together in Bruno was short lived as Ted passed away in 1983. Rose-Marie then worked for a number of years as a Home Care Aide. She enjoyed her garden and flowers as well as playing cards and having coffee with her many friends. It was during this time that she had to carry the burden of losing her son Kevin to heart disease. Rose-Marie was fortunate to have her family very close to her so it was always easy to get together. She stayed in her home in Bruno until she was no longer able to care for it, moving to St. Mary’s Villa in Humboldt in December 2018, her home until her passing. Rose-Marie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her two children, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren: PAT (Arnie) Frank of Humboldt and their family Wanda (Keith) Reaser and family Dylan (Larissa) Reaser and children Declan and Lyla, Tyler Reaser (fiancé Kelsey Parsons), and Colby Reaser (Cora Vandenberg), all of Cudworth and Derek (Tania) Frank and family Landin Frank and Abigail Frank, all of Peterson; GRANT (Shannon) Weiman and their family Brittany Weiman (Presley Perlitz) and Theodore Weiman (fiancé Jensen Beaudoin), all of Bruno; and KEVIN’s family, Michelle Lepage of Bruno and their family Megan (Jeff) Altrogge and children Olivia and Jackson of Saskatoon, and Kelsey (Sasha) Weiman of Calgary; sister Alvera Thiel; and sisters-in-law: Rosaline Hafner, Myrna Thimm and Elaine Wourms. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Lorretta Hafner; husband Ted Weiman; son Kevin Weiman; brother Alvin Hafner; brother-in-law Alphonse Thiel; and by in-laws of the Weiman family. The Funeral Mass for Rose-Marie was held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, Bruno. Interment followed in the Parish Cemetery. Memorial donations in Rose-Marie’s name may be made to St. Mary’s Villa Foundation or St. Bruno Cemetery Fund.
