Sheila Ewanishin Obituary

The family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Sheila Frances (nee Indzeoski) Ewanishin, 78 years of Humboldt, formerly of Bruno, at Humboldt District Hospital on Thursday, December 9, 2021.

Sheila Frances (Indzeoski) Ewanishin was born October 10, 1943, in Bruno, Saskatchewan to Tony and Mary (Nee Siermachesky) Indzeoski.

Sheila attended Keller School from grades 1 through 8.  She met Roman Ewanishin at a wedding.  They were married August 15, 1964 and celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Sheila was a homemaker and helped Roman with operating the farm at Bruno, Sk.  She enjoyed planting a big garden and enjoyed canning and pickling, especially pickles.  Also took enjoyment in selling the eggs from her laying hens.

Sheila took pride preparing huge meals for friends and family.  She enjoyed going for coffee every week with the regular group of friends and family.

For many years their holiday getaway from the farm was going to Dauphin, Manitoba to attend the National Ukrainian Festival.

When living on the farm, Roman and Sheila were members of the Ukrainian Catholic Church (Bruno Farms) and when anyone needed help with a funeral, Sheila co-ordinated the lunch and other necessities.

Sheila was a very caring person, always remembering birthdays, and anniversaries of friends and family, either would give them a call or send a message.

Above all Sheila’s favourite enjoyment in life was family gatherings when her family would come home and especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Sheila will be remembered and sadly missed by her husband Roman of 57 years; three sons, Randy (Tanya) Ewanishin of Fort Saskatchewan, AB and their children, Miranda, Alyssa, and Bradon; Richard Ewanishin of Melfort; and Elliot (Randene) Ewanishin of Humboldt and their children, Cole and Daenen.

Sheila is survived by brother, Jerome (Mary) Indzeoski; sister, Gladys Lenyk; sister-in-law, Antonia (Mike) Siermachesky; brother-in-law, Tony (Sandra) Ewanishin; and sister-in-law, Rose Ewanishin.

Predeceased by her parents, Tony and Mary Indzeoski; brother (in infancy) John Indzeoski; grandson, Devin Ewanishin; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Anne Ewanishin; and brother-in-law, Mike Ewanishin.
