The family of Veronica “Fronie” Brinkman announces her passing on May 1, 2020 at Bethany Pioneer Village in Middle Lake. Veronica “Fronie” Barbara Brinkman (nee Prodahl) was born to Frank and Barbara (nee Braun) Prodahl on September 12, 1923 on the family farm near Lake Lenore. Fronie was educated at Solo School until grade eight. From then on, she worked on the family farm. Fronie then met Wilbert Brinkman and they married on October 1, 1946. This marriage was blessed with three children: Eric, Barbara, and Ramona. Wilbert and Fronie settled on a farm five miles east of Lake Lenore and raised their family. Fronie and Wilbert were partners on the farm, she helped him do everything, however, harvest was her favorite time. She also enjoyed gardening. It was not all work that kept Fronie busy, she loved camping, having a fire, fishing, and spending time with her family. Fronie also loved sports, whether she was playing or watching. She made it to her grandkids games when she could and loved watching the Blue Jays play. Fronie enjoyed games such as bingo, cards, and gambling. She was also a member of the CWL at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Lake Lenore. Fronie was survived by her two children, seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren: daughter-in-law Ruth Brinkman and family Dawn (Dallas) Devine and children Jackson, Mariya, and Carter, Jill (Troy) Young, granddaughter-in-law Leanne Moorman ( Travis Thompson) and children Harlee and Jorja Brinkman; daughters Barb (Fred) Politeski and family Naomi (Murray) Bauml and children Drew, Cody, and Joel, Lorne (Jocelyn) Politeski and children Katie and Reed, Bryan (Aaron) Politeski and children Ava and Rory; Monie (Brian) Heilman and family Michael and James. She was also survived by her sister Ann Doepker; sisters-in-law Irma Brinkman and Anne Prodahl; and numerous nieces and nephews. Fronie was predeceased by her husband Wilbert Brinkman; parents Frank and Barbara Prodahl; son Rick Brinkman; grandson Chris Brinkman; and numerous brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. A Private Family Interment took place at St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations in Veronica’s memory may be directed to Bethany Pioneer Village, or St. Anthony’s Cemetery Fund.
