Walter Harry Klinger, 86 years, of Jansen passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Friday, September 6, 2024. Walter was born on June 10, 1938 on the family farm in the RM of Prairie Rose #309, SW 23-32-20 W2nd to Adolph and Emma (nee Feldberg) Klinger. He grew up on the farm learning how to work hard and appreciate all that the land provided. Walter attended Bieberdorf School, his education was complete by grade 8. After completing school, Walter began his lifelong passion of farming. Walter married Donelda Arnst on October 10, 1959 in the Jansen Zion Lutheran Church. They were blessed with four sons, that in adulthood brought four daughters-in-law, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Walter was a dedicated member of many local clubs, councils, hospital board, hockey coach and 4-H just to mention a few. He felt that involvement was not only important but created a community. Walter’s faith carried him through many hardships and celebrations throughout his life. He leaned heavily in the last few months on his wife of nearly 65 years and his faith. Walter is survived by his wife Donelda Klinger; sons Kim and Dalphine (Miranda, Melissa and Tyson); Mark and Nadia (Thalia); Kelvin and Sharon (Teagan, Karsen and Jesse) and Nathan and Melissa (Darriane, Kail and Kazra); brother Ed Klinger and sister Helen Gray. He was predeceased by his parents Adolph and Emma Klinger, brothers Roy Klinger and Irwin Klinger; sisters Vera Weber and Erna Weiss; and in infancy Arnold, Willie and Ella Klinger. Special thank you to Dr. Askari, Home Care and the nurses for their compassionate care for Walter and his family. The Funeral Service for Walter was held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Jansen, officiated by Pastor Kristin Soveran. Memorial Donations in Walter’s memory may be made to the Lanigan Hospital Lodge Auxiliary.
