Bernarda was a dear Aunt to my sister Annette and I. Growing up, and beyond, we were always welcome to stay in her home when we were in the area. She always kept our mother Madeline (her sister) up on the news from home, and since Madeline's passing she's kept in touch with Annette and I. I'm sad for Ted's losing his wonderful wife and Carol, Glen, and Lorna losing a wonderful Mom. I recall my father Bill describing her as someone with the most heart of anyone he knew. I feel she was "mom" to many many people!
